A 365 (Or 366?) Project

1 Jan

Usually, I like to be painfully unique and not do what anyone (let alone seemingly EVERYONE) else is doing. But I like the idea of committing to doing something every day for a year (or as close to everyday as I can).

This year (especially after this last writing lull), I’m going to write a letter to my dad every day on here. Although I don’t want to become overly attached to a fictionalized version of this man, I do want to think about and through all these emotions and whatnot I have and even the ideals I’m holding onto. So that’s what I’m doing. I guess. I did just decide this, like, on the spur of the moment, so, yeah, we’ll see.

Day 1:

Dear Biological Father,

I still don’t know for certain who you are, but I think I’m going to send the guy that I think you are a letter. To tell him that I think he’s my dad. Man, that’s intimidating and kind of strange.

Sorry this letter kind of sucks, it’s my first day!

i don’t think there’s anything wrong with jumping on bandwagons. 🙂 sometimes the ideas are really good, and if you would have thought of it first you would totally have done it…
